Astroparticle physics with AMS experiment
The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) is an astroparticle physics experiment with a sensitivity to cosmic rays of up to TeV energies, to be installed on the International Space Station for a three year run. After briefly reviewing the results from the AMS-01 precursor mission on the Space Shuttle Discovery in 1998, I will describe the highlights of the AMS experiment's physics program: the search for primordial antimatter, the search for annihilation products of Galactic dark matter, and cosmic ray propagation studies.
