Plots 2&3: Ulysses s/c position given as a function of solar longitude and heliocentric range. For longitudes between 90 and 270 degrees (shaded in these plots) Ulysses and the Earth are viewing opposite sides of the solar disk.

- Plot 2 represents the inecliptic phase of the primary mission (Oct 1990 - Feb 1992) while
